In her book, A Little Pot of Oil, Jill Brisco discusses the true heart of mentoring and discipleship. She has learned the secret of allowing the Lord to flow out of our lives, rather than simply “enduring”, even when we are too weary to go on. The oil cannot flow if we do not have an intimate relationship with the Creator. We are incapable of producing the good deeds of “agape” love on our own.
